1st Annual Fit Champ Competition

This is a contest to reward you for what you're already doing, and to help keep you motivated and/or encourage you to be the healthiest YOU that you can be! Here is how it’s going to work:

The competition will be three 30 day phases.  Drop out or join for any 30 days you want.  Of course participating for all three phases gives you a better chance to win money ;).  The three phases are as follows.  When you sign up for a phase you will be in for that entire four weeks.  The last phase the Sunday before Thanksgiving!!

Phase 1:                                Tuesday, September 3rd-Sunday, September 29th
Phase 2:                                Monday, September 30th-Sunday, October 27th
Phase 3:                                Monday, October 28th-Sunday, November 24th

THE CONTEST:
Each participant will be accountable for results in TWO categories:

1.) Total Percentage of Weight Lost. You will need to weigh in once per week. You will need to use the same scale, and weigh in at the same day/time each week. ex: Every Sunday at 9am. Email the results to me every Sunday night by 8pm PST (LA time).

2.) Total time spent exercising. You will need to track the minutes you spend working out each day. Most physical activity counts, as long as it’s something you can honestly say is exercise. For example, Walking the dog counts, but carrying laundry upstairs does not. If you have any questions about what counts and what doesn't, ask!

Each Sunday you will report your weight and minutes exercised stats to me, NO LATER than 8pm pst. All of the stats will be kept in total confidence. At no time will your name or personal information be released during the challenge. The stat rankings will be posted weekly to a closed facebook so you can see how you are doing. I will participate as well, but I will not be eligible to win a prize.

Your weekly stats email will look like this:

Name: Corinne Felton
Weight: 190lbs
Minutes Exercised: 350

3.) Door Prize: In addition to the 2 categories, one participant will be selected at random through a raffle drawing for a "door prize". The prize will be announced later. Throughout the three phases there will be "mini-challenges" posted at random and participants can choose to do a mini-challenge to earn extra entries for the door prize raffle. The mini-challenges will be surprises and different every time. For example, one day I might ask participants to jog a flight of stairs outdoors and take a photo, and on another day walk to the top of a hill where there is a tree and take a photo. Each mini-challenge earns you more chances to win the door prize package.

HOW TO ENTER:
Each Person who enters will get a free gift for joining the competition. Which includes:
·         Fatty to Fit Champ wristband to keep you motivated
·         Workout journal for the length of the competition you entered
·         Free samples of some of my favorite workout supplements.  To get you going!!
**Some of which will be given as door prizes (full size for door prizes).

To enter send an email with your name, age, and preferred method of contact letting me know that you’re interested. Fattytofitchamp.com

The fee for each 30 day phase is $10.00 to participate. If you want to do all three phases for a full 90 day it is $30.00.  That is less money than most people spend on coffee or fast food in a week, and much less expensive than a personal trainer for 90 days! You can send the entry fee via USPS if you like, but it must be a check or money order. NO CASH! I don't want to be responsible for lost cash! I am also accepting PayPal payments if you prefer, as it is secure and you are protected through the PayPal guarantee! The funds will be held in a secure paypal account until the winners are announced.

Take a (few) BEFORE photos of yourself.  One from the front, one from the side, and one from the back. If you feel comfortable, do it in a bathing suit, or shorts and a sports bra. You can keep this to yourself if you like, but you should do it!

The first round of stats will need to be submitted to me no later than
Phase 1: Sunday September 1st
Phase 2: Sunday, October 27th
Phase 3: Sunday, November 24th
This will begin week one.

Everything is being done on the honor system! Let’s keep it clean, fun, and honest!

and what you've really been waiting for...

THE PRIZES:
A Prize will be awarded for EACH CATEGORY. That means there will be at least 2 winners! The amounts will be determined by the amount of participation.  The goal is to get 20 people so that we have a lot of participation in the group and a lot more money to win.   If we have an odd amount, one person will be randomly selected to receive a refund of their entry fee at the end of the competition. Only those who report all of their weekly stats ON TIME will be eligible for prizes. The prize system goes as follows. Please note only $7.50 of your entry fee will be going towards the pot.  The other $2.50 will help pay for shipping and handling of your FREE GIFT!!  Also remember these are the prizes if we get 20 people to participate.  They will be smaller if we don’t reach our 20 person goal so share with your friends, your family, your neighbor…whomever so we can hit our goal!

FAQ’s:

Q.           Who can participate in the competition?
A.            Anyone guys and girls who pays their entry fee.

Q.           Why are there three 30 day phases?
A.            Because I know some people will only want to join us for 30 days.  It also gives people the flexibility to try it out for one month before committing to another 30 days.  It helps spread the $30 out too if you want to pay in $10 increments.

Q.           Can you win more than once?

A.            Yes, you can win each of the phases and if you signed up for all 3 months you can win the grand prize too.  If you only sign up for one month you are not eligible to win the grand prize of $150 but you could still win one of the categories for the month you signed up for.  The same person cannot win for both categories in the month.  Example: Jane Doe worked out the most minutes and lost the most weight loss % in phase 1.  She cannot win the most weight loss % for phase 1 and the most minutes worked out.  The next person who worked out the second most minutes would be awarded that prize.

New Options for the Fatty to Fit Champ Challengers

It has been a super long time since I have last posted.  I realized the other day, I really need to give this blog some TLC.  When I started this journey it was all about the blog not much about Facebook and it kind of flip flopped.

I am excited to announce today that I am loosening up the criteria for my challenge groups.  Prior I required you to either purchase a challenge pack or be on Shakeology every day.  Well when I got into this business, yes it was about making money, but it was also about helping people too.  I want to open up the doors to help more people.

**If you want to be in a challenge group I am only requiring you be on the Beachbody Meal Replacement Shake.  Why am I still requiring it?  Well because I want to make sure if I am COMMITTED to you that YOU are COMMITTED to at least one healthy meal a day.

I will still stand behind Shakeology as a product.  I have done some research on some websites that compare meal replacement shakes.  These sites have NO affiliation with any products and Shakeology is in the top 5 among all of them and the Beachbody programs still speak for themselves on how awesome they are.

The combination of Shakeology and a Beachbody program is still going to get you the BEST results and the Challenge Pack is still the best value for your buck.  However, times are tough right now and I don't want to limit someone who really wants to get healthy just because of their budget.

To make this simple I have put a side by side comparison of the challenge group options:

My next challenge starts July 1st J.  Are you in?

Lose 5lbs by October 31st

Ok so this is a little bit embarrassing but I don't like to be a whiner.  I did not lose 5lbs.  I lost only 2lbs.  It is my own fault.  I went into this to laxy dazy.  I was not consistent and because of that I would drop like 3 pounds in a week and then gain 2 back over the weekend.  I didn't track my food everyday, only somedays.  Which we all know is not a real day of the week.  I have been trying a couple of different things...tracking in my phone using an app, blogging food and writing in all down in a book.  I have to say after finding an old food journal, I think I get most into the book.  I am heading to staples today to get a new little notebook to make me get "in the mood" to food journal.

This was not a total loss.  I still lost 2 pounds and I figured out what is not working.  Not keeping track of how many cheat meals I had is not working.  Saying I will go to the gym sometime today is not working.  Sometime is not a time on the clock either.  Coming home and doing my usual routine of planting myself on the couch for the rest of the night is not working.  Some nights sure but every night NO!

Just keep reminding myself progress not perfection.  I also want to look more into this connection with food and eating to emotions.  Picking up a book by Geneen Roth later this week.  I will share my thoughts.

Veggie Breakfast Casserole

I am a huge fan of batch cooking but breakfast had been an issue for me.  So I came up with this casserole idea that can be batch cooked on the weekend.  Keeps for most of the week in the fridge or can be frozen to last longer.  On a usual morning I eat 1/4 cup oats and 4 egg whites.  I specifically made this recipe so I would be getting those servings and it would be easy to measure out.  I included both the exact measurements if you are using fresh ingredients and the easy bag sizes if using frozen.

Veggie Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tsp Dried Basil
1/2 Tsp Oregeno
2 cups of dry oatmeal (I use Shoprite Instant)
32 Egg Whites
3 1/2 cups Frozen Spinach-Half of a 20oz bag
3 3/4 cups Mixed Pepper Stips- Entire 14oz bag
1 1/3 cups Frozen Chopped Onions-Half of a 12oz bag

Instructions:

1) Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
2) Spray casserole dish with non-stick spray
3) Pour all ingredients into casserole dish
4) Cook on 375 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until cooked all the way through
5) Divide into 8 equal portions

Mango BBQ Sauce

I love this stuff.  It is my go to sauce to put on chicken and rice, dip chicken fingers in, marinade chicken in, use for BBQ chicken pizza...the options are endless really.  Plus it is super easy.  I will add new recipes you can use with it as we go along but for now the recipe is below.

Emotional Drinking to Just Emotional Eating

Wow it has been a week from my last post.  I am sorry I have not been on the ball.  Things have just been crazy.  Lots of happening with work that I will announce once I have more details.  I also had all day meetings this week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Then tons of catch up to do for being out of the office for those three days.  I had a hard time with my food and drink.  Going into the week I was only half a pound away from being down five pounds.  Now I am two.  I need to be focused the next couple of days to meet my goal on the 31st.  One highlight of the week is my team slected me to do a presenation during the week as the most innovative person on our team. It won me a free day off :)

Today I had an emotional, dramatic and stressful day.  Normally I would have come home and opened that bottle of wine and gorged myself on food.  I even thought about going back out to the store and getting wine but I was like nah i don't feel like it.  So I will admit to my emotional food gorging but I didin't drink.  I am ok with.  For now maybe I binge with food but not alcohol and then maybe next week I don't binge at all.

I made a new meal plan for myself I am prety pumped about.  Everything has things I like to eat and can get excited about.  I find that it's really hard to stick to a meal plan when the food eh.  So tomorrow I should have some great recipes up for you.  Well good night for now, until tomorrow.
